DEAR SPROUTMAN: In your most recent newsletter, “What Does Sproutman Eat?” you talk about letting Brown Rice set in boiled water so it is still raw/uncooked. What ratio of rice to water do you use? I would love to try this out. Might be my lifesaver to my new raw diet! Thank you! – Mandy
DEAR MANDY: The ratio is approximately 2:1 (water:rice). Of course it will depend on the type of rice used, each variety is slightly different. If you are unsure, use a little more water since it is better for the rice to be a little softer rather than crunchy.
