Liver cleansing is quite an art and there are several more rigorous regimens, recipes, and approaches to cleansing your liver than mine. But you shouldn’t be doing the more intense cleanses unless you really know what you are doing or have the support of a health professional. You could actually move stones out of your gall bladder on the more intense liver cleanses. and that’s of course great—as long as you can follow up and eliminate them from your system.

Drinking 3-4 ounces of wheatgrass juice daily is another great liver cleanse. And if you are really dedicated, take a wheatgrass enema! It stimulates the hepatic vein and goes directly to the liver.

We drink many potent juices on these cleanses, but one of the easiest to make and one of the most important is my Grapefruit Liver Cleanse. This drink is so effective in maintaining a clean liver and gall bladder that I take it on a regular basis—not just on the cleanse.
