Greetings Detoxicants! 🙂
You have survived one day. For some of you, it may have been hard, for others it was easy. The first 3 days test your will power. Old habits do not easily change. There are temptations all around you. Your family is eating the way it always eats. You may be questioning….why are you even doing this!
Remember your original intentions. You were motivated to come this far because it is something you really wanted to do. Don’t let go now. Working in a group with a guide is your best chance for success. Discipline can be like chasing a feather in the wind. The trick is to be still and it will float down to you. Cleansing is inner work in more ways than one.
This week we are focusing our awareness on our health: our bodies, our organs, our glands, our bloodstream. This cannot be done without also focusing our minds. Your alter ego is coaxing you back to your old habits and questioning this new direction. Take a few minutes to quiet your mind and reassess your purpose. Most likely you will reaffirm your intentions. This simple act strengthens your resolve and reinvigorates your discipline. Put the devil back in the box and shut the lid. This is your week to cleanse.
Some of you may be wondering: why not just eat the salad? Why liquefy it? It is all about the seduction of food. Once you start chewing, it opens you up to a world with which you are very familiar and the boundaries between cleansing and regular eating can easily melt away.
Again, the first three days are the hardest. Here is your new mantra: “Persevere.” Use as needed.
